What EmpowHER Means to Me: When Purpose Meets Power
I’ve always believed that empowering others isn’t just something I do — it’s part of who I am. It’s in the way I connect, the way I speak life into others, and the way I show up, especially for women who are navigating real-life challenges while chasing purpose.
So when the opportunity to partner with the EmpowHER Conference came up, it was a no-brainer for me.
Why? Because this aligns with the very mission my podcast Thriving in Multifamily and Life was built on. From day one, I’ve said my podcast was bigger than me. It’s a platform created to lift voices, share stories, and amplify the conversations that matter. And if I get to do that while supporting a movement that celebrates women of all backgrounds — count me in.
This wasn’t just an event. It felt like a divine confirmation.
There wasn’t a lot of overthinking or strategy. Sometimes, things just align. And for me, EmpowHER arrived in a season where I was ready to say yes to something bigger than myself. Life has a funny way of showing up with the exact opportunity you didn’t know you were waiting for — but needed. That’s what this felt like.
And listen — I don’t say yes to everything. I’m intentional about where I pour my energy. But this?
This was a purpose yes.
A “this is part of your assignment” kind of yes.
Because I believe in coming together to rise, no matter your title, your season, or your story. We all have a place. We all deserve space.
So… what does EmpowHER mean to me?
EmpowHER speaks to alignment, purpose, and impact. It’s not just a clever name — it’s a reminder that HER matters. Her growth. Her story. Her journey.
This space is for the woman who is transitioning.
The one rebuilding.
The one thriving — and still tired.
I’ve been all of them… and in some ways, I’m still all of them.
So when I talk about EmpowHER, I’m not talking about something out there.
I’m talking about us. You and me. In real time.Let me say this: the biggest act of courage is showing up for yourself — especially in spaces that weren’t built with you in mind.
But here’s a truth I’ve learned: No one can advocate for you better than YOU. So show up. Show out. And show them you belong — because you do.
The Real Talk Energy
What makes EmpowHER different — even before I’ve stepped into the room — is the purpose behind it. The way it centers real women, real stories, and real growth. I’ve heard the energy is electric — and bold. And from what I’ve seen and felt already, I believe that.
That phrase keeps coming to mind:
She came. She saw. She conquered.
That’s the kind of space I want to witness and help amplify.
I’m not just attending — I’m showing up as a podcast host and a storyteller, ready to capture behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, and unfiltered wisdom.
Because it’s not just about being in the room — it’s about helping others hear what’s happening in the room.
Closing Thoughts
If there’s anything I hope this blog leaves you with, it’s this:
Don’t give up. Walk boldly in your own power.
EmpowHER isn’t just an event — it’s a movement. One that reminds us that when we lead with authenticity, we don’t have to chase rooms.
We create them.
Because true authenticity wins. Every time.
